Volunteers are needed to make the swim team successful. Please find a place to get involved, it will help you meet people and make your swim team experience more fun. E-mail [email protected].
Committees: Registration/Membership- One person to coordinate registration at the beginning of the season and maintain membership information. Chairperson: Paul Hawa Concessions- One person to coordinate drink donations each week for concessions. Another family to help with purchasing food and bringing the grill to each meet. The Concessions profits pay for ribbons for each meet, awards at the end of the year, t-shirts for the coaches, gifts for the coaches and pool manager, registration fee for the website, and an end of the year party. Chairperson: TBD Fundraising- Solicit sponsors for the team to provide team banner, supplement t-shirts, etc. Chairpersons: Paul Hawa, Holly Wimberg Happe Timers - One person to schedule parents to time at Home meets and City. We can split the meets and city into 2 hour blocks. The timers have the BEST seat in the "house" and timing helps to pass the "time" quickly. Chairperson: TBD Ribbons- One person to coordinate picking-up the heat results (city bldg.) with the pool manager the morning after the meet. Usually the information on the ribbons can be completed during the practices if 3-4 persons volunteer. Chairperson: TBD Marketing - Publicize team in all local schools. Increase participation in all ages. Chairperson: TBD Stroke Clinic-Coordinate teachers for stroke clinic and reservation of the pool. Chairperson: TBD Spirit Wear-Coordinate development of team logo items to sell, collect orders & payment, distribute. Chairperson: TBD End of Year Picnic & Awards-Coordinate an end of the year picnic (usually pot-luck & booster club provides meat). Reserve shelter, arrange for guards & pool to be open.
